On Jim’s spare time, he enjoys reading as well as spending time outdoors hiking to scenic areas, both in the Pacific Northwest and other places he travels to. On a job Jim is surprisingly good at, he does a good job taking complex or confusing information and making it understandable to all layers of the organization. A true gift indeed. Jim has been working in accounting and finance for over 30 years, but probably doesn’t want to admit the exact number of years!
Jim considers one of his greatest professional accomplishments is overhauling the financial reporting and forecasting process to speed up the timeline, increase accuracy, and improve the presentation of the information for a number of companies he has worked with. This financial information was then used by ownership and management to make better decisions and increase the value of the company.
Jim was a business major in college which led to a career in accounting and finance. He took the CPA exam and received certification early in his professional career. On the personal side, he has served as President of two separate homeowners associations, Treasurer of his son’s little league baseball club, and Treasurer of his church.
