What do you like to spend your free time doing?
I love to spend my free time on the water; either on my boat, fishing, dining, or laying on the beach. I gravitate towards water any chance I get and of course love to share this time with my husband and children. We are all water babies!
What are you surprisingly good at?
I am surprisingly good at getting a lot of stuff done in a short amount of time, I am a firm believer of Parkinson’s Law – “ work expands to fill the time allowed”. I don’t like to waste time so I am very scheduled and time block my life including personal duties. We can achieve great success when we focus!
How long have you been working in your field?
I have been working in the real industry for almost 15 years now and have done new construction, foreclosures, short sales, traditional real estate as well as dabbled in commercial construction. I have spanned my career over 4 different states in that 15 year time frame.
What’s your biggest accomplishment?
I have received many amazing awards and recognition over my 15 year real estate career for various production levels and nothing compares to the accomplishment of raising 3 amazing children, two of which are teenagers moving on to college. There is some very rewarding and gratifying knowing that you have raised stellar human beings.
How does your education connect to your professional career?
What about personal experiences? My education was actually in the dental field, I went to college to be a dental hygienist in which I never worked a day of my life in that field. My personal experiences definitely relate to my field and the love of home décor, architecture, home design, construction, and development. I grew up with a father that relocated a lot for work and once married a husband who relocated a lot for work. I have lived in 7 different states and probably close to 30 different homes. I think that makes me very relatable when it comes to real estate because I truly know what the customer experiences going through a home purchase and the transition of moving and/or relocating. The current home we live in we bought site unseen from halfway across the country and didn’t see the interior until after closing.
What are you complimented on most in your work?
When it comes to my work and my ethic I take things very professionally and personally. I get complimented on a regular basis of my general knowledge of the RE field as well as how easy I am to communicate with. I pride myself in being able to adapt to many different personality styles so that I maintain the ease of communication for my clients.
